The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Verkhovna Rada adopts the Bill on Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements and the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding Enhancement of Responsibility for Violation of the Environmental Legislation as a Basis

The Bill (Reg. No.4341) increases the rates of penalties for the violation of environmental legislation, and amends certain clauses of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements in order to coordinate them with effective legislation.

The Committee upholds the idea of enhancing responsibility for the violation of environmental legislation and recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill at the First Reading.
